8/11/13 - 6-foot-1, 207-pound prospect, shows good corner actions, hands work, arm strength plays at 80 mph across the infield.  At the plate, hits from an open stance, short stride, good use of strong lower half, shows a pull approach at the plate, short path to the ball with some hand quickness, ran 4.97 down the line, showed bat speed with 88 mph tee exit velocity.  Long went 0-for-3 in game play that included a hard line drive out to left field.  On the mound, uses long arm action through a ¾ to high ¾ arm slot, consistently throws strikes with all pitches, fastball showed good arm-side run at 75-77 mph, keeps hitters off balance with a 63-64 mph curveball with 11/5 action, and a 65-66 mph changeup that shows late sinking action.
