7/5/16 - Home-1st: 4.21, Position Velocity:  OF-86, Exit Velocity: 89
5-foot-11, 160-pound RHH continues to prove he is one of the top players in the class. Balanced stance, short stride, premium bat speed produces consistent line drive contact with occasional power for size, uses speed to offensive advantage, went 2-for-4 with a triple in game action. Athletic defender who plays through the ball well, good arm strength with carry and accuracy, has ability to play CF at a high level. The top OF in the 2018 class.

6/17/15 - 6-foot, 160-pound right-handed hitter, hits from a balanced stance with a short stride, good use of lower half, generates good bat speed through the zone, shows good power for age that should continue to develop with physical strength, flashed his speed with 4.17 home to first time, 86 mph exit velocity, went 0-for-4 in game play. Attacks and plays through the ball well with athletic actions, long high-3/4 release with accurate throws to the bag, good arm strength at 84 mph with carry, potential high-level 2018 prospect.  On the mound, RHP works through a high-3/4 arm slot and shows above average velocity for age, fastball shows occasional cut action and sat 76-78 mph touching 80 on one occasion, showed a 62 mph curveball with gradual 11/5 action, throws a 60-62 mph knuckleball, throws consistent strikes, gave up an infield single and struck out two (one swinging on knuckleball) in two innings of work .

7/23/14 - 5-foot-10, 150-pound prospect showed good speed for age running a 7.16 60-yard dash, registered 84 mph tee exit velocity.  Hits from a balanced stance with aggressive stride, good lower half torque, took good round of batting practice, went 1-for-4 in game play with a triple, aggressive on bases.  Defensively, shows soft hands and good lateral movement, some accurate throws with 70 mph arm across the infield, 2018 prospect to follow.
On the mound, uses medium arm action through a high ¾ arm slot, good tempo in delivery, good lower half direction, shows above average velocity for age, fastball sat 74-76 mph and is straight, good command of 65-66 mph curveball with gradual 12/6 action, young prospect shows good potential and one to watch continue to develop.

10/23/19 - A SCF INF, Ellington flashed range with more than enough arm to play anywhere on the dirt. Quick feet that stay moving but also soft and sure he has the prototypical athleticism for the infield. At the plate he has a simple load with torque in the upper body to unload the hands at contact point. The athleticism is prevalent here in the ability to barrel balls up with the violent hands.
