ACADEMIC GAMES II
6-foot, 190-pound right-handed hitting catcher and first baseman. Ran a 4.9 home to first at the workout. The skill set behind the dish is trending up, threw 66 mph down to second base. The pop time during the workout was 2.22. The transfer and foot work can be cleaned up as he matures in age. Showed well at first base, the feet work solid around the bag. Threw 72 mph across the diamond. The bat has a tee exit velocity of 85 mph. The setup is wide in base, slightly open with the front foot to start. The front foot has a toe tap as the swing is initiated. The path is casted, out and around to contact. Stays in his legs, power potential down the road dependent on strength gain.

6-foot, 187-pound right-handed hitting 1B/C.  Threw 64 mph (2.2-2.4) from behind the plate. The feet move well into the throwing position.  Does come out a little tall, causing him to get heavy on the back side and recoiling on the throw.  The glove to hand transition is clean and the arm swing is short and quick. I like the tools behind the plate.  I think with a few footwork adjustments, there’s some real upside. At the plate, the tee exit velocity was 85 mph.  The swing is clean and the base set up is athletic and appropriate. Showed potential to drive the ball as he matures as he ages.

Tee Exit Velocity- 85 mph
Catching Velocity-64 mph
