5-foot-7, 145 pounds, average athleticism, room for upper body strength without it coming at expense of foot speed. Reads ball off the bat at both second base and in the outfield. Arm reaches into the upper 70s for mph in both spots. They were 76 mph OF and 77 mph IF. Second base is his best defensive position. Sound fundamentals in the infield, adequate lateral movements. Will need to work on quicker releases with ball but lots of developmental time left to do so. In the cage, Gauvin locks into hitting position right away, steps into the ball a wrists rock back and up before ripping the bat through the zone. Up the middle approach with line drive pop. His tee exit velocity was 76 mph. May eventually develop strength for consistent gap power. Gauvin plays hard and maximizes his present tools with a good approach at the plate. Preferred at second, but already serviceable in a corner outfield spot.
Home - First: 4.67
Exit Velocity: 76 mph
Arm Velocity: 76 mph OF, 77 mph IF

Small right-handed hitting infielder, ran a 4.61 down the line on a dig to first base. Showed a solid glove in the field with an idea of how to approach the ball. Threw 63 mph across the diamond as the arm strength will have to improve as he ages. More than likely a second baseman. At the plate, had a tee exit velocity of 70 mph. The setup is wide and he has a no stride approach, which I like. The frame needs strength as he drops the barrel at the start of the swing.

Right-handed hitting middle infielder who shows a good approach to the ball and a good idea on how to field the ball. The arm strength was 65 mph from the outfield and 61 mph from the infield. Ran a 7.5 60-yard dash. At the plate, showed a tee exit velocity of 66 mph, as the bat needs strength behind it. Has a narrow setup with his fee and a high leg lift as he starts his swing, and throws the barrel head towards the ball. The bat path is long but should shorten as he matures and strengthens his body.
