7/26/16 - Hansel is a 5-foot-9 145-pound right-handed hitting catcher, third baseman and right-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2020 class.  He ran a 8.22 60 and 4.89 home-to-first.  His exit velo was 68 mph. At the plate, wide stance, reverse short stride, early trigger stride, minimal hand load, loose hands working inside the ball, gap-to-gap approach.  Behind the plate, pop times between 2.26 and 2.38-seconds, 67 mph positional velo, over the top release, quick catch and throw with fluid footwork, mostly accurate throws. On the infield, 65 mph positional velo, high three quarters arm slot, gains ground towards 1B after catch, clean transfer, mostly accurate throws. On the mound, Hansel works from an over the top release, hands work over the head in wind up, in line as he strides down the mound, fastball has some run at 73-74 mph, breaking ball has 11-to-5 action, showed to be a good pitch as he continues to develop, 55-60 mph, change up at 58-59 mph, near fastball arm speed.
