Cape Cod: Was drafted in the 12th round this summer by the Braves—he hit a home run for Y-D mere hours after being drafted, so July 11, 2023 is unlikely to be a day he forgets—but elected to finish out the summer on the Cape and return to K-State this fall. He batted .267 with a team-leading six doubles. Day is an on-base machine, as he walked 49 times compared to 22 strikeouts in the spring with the Wildcats. He began his time at K-State as a positionless offense-minded player, but he has settled in nicely at second base, where he spent most of his time this summer, and he can also handle third.
