3/12/16

Right-handed pitcher who pitches out of a slightly higher than ¾ arm slot. The arm works well and he is a strike thrower. The delivery is repeated, the front arm is elbow pointed at the target and he tends to spin off slightly. The back foot is angle up on the rubber, it needs to be flat to gain dynamic balance. The fastball has run to it, touched 75 mph. The breaking ball has good shape to it and should be a plus pitch as he ages, touching 62 mph. The changeup cuts and needs a ball rotation tweak, sat at 66 mph. Keep an eye on him, as his hands and feet are big, body projects.

Right-handed pitcher who also worked out in the outfield as well. Had a really good overall showing. On the mound, shows a quick arm out of a ¾ arm slot. The fastball touched 75 mph and had good rotation and run to it. The breaking ball is close to a plus pitch already as it comes out of his hand like a fastball and has a nice shelf to it as it gets to the hitter. The breaking ball touched 68 mph. The changeup is a work in progress and touched 70 mph. The delivery is rotational and could use more lineality to it but he repeats now and should be a serious guy on the mound in a year. In the outfield, he threw 75 mph with carry and accuracy. The approach to the ball in the outfield needs coaching but the athleticism is there. Ran an easy 7.27 60-yard dash, which is really good for his age group. At the plate, had a tee exit velocity of 75 mph. The hands work nicely, as he hits out of a wide base. He does wrap the bat a bit but the path to the ball is flat and he stays inside the ball at contact. Good looking prospect.
