NY Games (June 25-27, 2017)
Sturdy 6-foot, 195-pound catcher, ran a 7.33/60. Offensively - quick to the ball with a compact swing, strong hands, effective load, inner knee rotation engages lower half, full extension with upper cut after contact for an exit velocity of 81 MPH, further counter rotation between upper and lower torso will increase power. Defensively - inconsistent release point causes inflated POP time between 2.25-2.30, refinement of basic mechanics will reap rewards, fundamentals are present.
Academic Games- NY (June 3rd, 2016)
10/15/2016
Right-handed hitting catcher we have seen a number of times in the late summer and fall. The catching is coming along nicely, softening the receiving is progressing. The pop time will improve as the feet and transfer become cleaner. Currently has a pop time of 2.2. Threw 70 mph down to second. Ran a 7.28 60 at the event. The bat has strength to it and the hands are loose. Tee exit velocity of 79 mph. Sets up with wide base and relaxed hands. The path is slightly uphill, needs to be flattened for better contact and coverage. The path is long and if shortened he has power potential as he is strong.

9/25/16

Right-handed hitting catcher that can kick out to first base as well. Threw 69 mph from behind the dish. Pop time of 2.2 as the arm strength needs to improve, cleaning up the transfer and foot work as well. Showed the ability to receive, continued reps on a machine will help as well. At the plate, tee exit velocity of 83 mph as the hands are strong. Sets up with a wide base, picks up and puts down the front foot as the ball approaches. The path is long, as he drops his hands as he starts the swing. Did barrel up a couple balls in the game and showed athleticism moving around the bases.
