Savage has a broad shouldered, athletic build at 5-foot-10 165-pounds. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.60 seconds, recorded exit velocities that topped at 80 MPH. At the plate, Savage sets up in a tall, neutral stance with bat above back shoulder. As pitch comes in uses a small foot stride and hand load to start swing. Hands load down and back. Smooth, effortless swing through the zone. Creates some pop with extension in arms to the baseball. Balanced, athletic finish. Behind the plate, throws topped at 70 MPH to 2B, pop times between 2.22-2.25. Short, stabby arm action. Balls had some fade going to 2B and were on target. Shows advanced feel for blocking and lateral movements.
