Jacob stands an athletic 5-foot-10 150 pounds. He ran a 7.91 60 and a 4.57 home-to-1B. Hitting- Jake hits from an even stance with a hand position even with his head. Uses a slight take back and short front foot stride for timing. Stays behind contact well with an aggressive back foot/hip rotation. Does roll front side open through contact, standing front leg up. Line drive/flyball contact with an exit velocity of 79 MPH. Repeats swing mechanics and effort. Defensively- Behind the plate Jacob uses a compact setup, staying soft with his receiving. Exhibited proper throwing footwork from both glove and throwing side. Fundamental with blocking. Pop time range was 2.19-2.26 with accuracy. Peak positional velocity was 68 MPH. Will benefit from a quicker exchange, as it tends to get to deep on the body. 

Scrappy catcher, good in the dirt with accurate throwing arm. Needs to work on transfer and being more consistent with footwork. Great understanding of game calling and on field directives. Good overall foundation. Left handed hitter who grinds out at bats and can pop an occasional double.
