Southern Tier Open (August 5, 2015)
Stands at 5-foot-11, 160 pounds, with an athletic body build.  He ran a 7.98 60 yard dash.  Defensively- He has a good approach through the ball, with soft hands, throws with a high 3/4 arm action, plays through the ball, and has accuracy on the target.  His arm strength was 71 MPH.  Offensively- At the plate his setup is relaxed and very balanced, short leg kick but longer stride, with a back load.  His hands are very compact and strong, swinging with some uphill tilt, with a shoulder high finish with extension through the ball.  His exit velocity was 78 MPH. Pitching- Ryan uses a rocker step to drive to his balance point where he maintains a high set position with both arms in a "T" formation. Slight collapse on back leg but stays closed and finishes up and over front side. May benefit from lengthening his stride to take more momentum into his finish. Arm action works through the mid belt area into a high 3/4, almost over the top slot. Fastball works down hill with some heaviness to it at 72-73 MPH (3 MPH increase from Fall of 2014). Curveball featured 12-6 action at 62 MPH. Slider flattens out and becomes more cutter like at 66-68 MPH. Release is altered here as it rolls out from the ear. Arm slot is not conducive to slider and should probably stay with curveball. Change has some potential with some late off the table action and arm side fade at 59 MPH. From the stretch, Ryan comes set in an open position and uses a slide step that rushes him into a different landing spot then out of the windup, causing him to open up and leave arm back. Has the secondary stuff to get hitter's out, continued velocity gains and refinement of delivery will be important entering the spring.

Buckeye Elite Showcase (July 7, 2015)

5-foot-9, 160-pound athletic body frame. From the infield he uses pretty good footwork to approach ground balls, but could be more aggressive consistently with his approach. He fields with his hands out in front of his body and throws with a short arm action coming from an upper  ¾ slot. He reached a top velocity of 68 mph across the infield. On the mound he uses regular effort to his delivery. Uses a high, straight up and down leg kick, and lands more closed at foot strike. He finishes his delivery with his momentum carrying towards home plate. He throws using average arm speed, coming from an over the top angle. His fastball was between 72-75 mph. His curveball had gradual break with 12/6 tilt at 64-66 mph. He threw a slider with tighter break than his curveball, consistently at 67 mph.
Upstate Underclass Games (September 7, 2014)
Madigan stands 5-foot-9 160-pounds with a solidly built frame. Pitching- On the mound he starts with a big side step and his hands high. He breaks his hands high over the rubber and drops and drives hard off his back leg towards home. His arm action is clean with a good arm circle. His arm slot is over the top clearing his head to the first base side on release, finishes over his front knee with a fastball sitting 67-70 mph with downward action. His curveball was 58 mph with early 1/7 shape needing more hand speed.
