6/8/15
6-foot-4, 215-pound tall, physical frame. From the catcher’s position he could improve his throws to second by staying lower throughout his footwork with his tall frame. He throws with a clean, short arm action coming from an upper ¾ slot reaching pop times between 2.11-2.20 while reaching a top velocity of 72 mph on his throws to second base. In the infield, he uses good footwork around the bag with the ability to move well laterally off the bag. He reached a top velocity of 77 mph on his throws across the infield. Right-handed hitter starts from a tall, open stance using a big leg kick while landing slightly more open and could could get himself more squared up to even when he lands. He uses a long stride, landing hard on his front foot. He uses a slight hand load. His bat path stays flat through the zone for the most part and he finishes high with a two-handed follow through. During his round of batting practice he shows pull tendencies with strength in his swing to the pull side. He did show the ability to go up the middle with the baseball during a game at bat, squaring up a single up the middle off of a mid 80’s mph fastball. He reached a top exit velocity of 91 mph.

6-foot-3, 208-pound prospect with solid, athletic frame. Potential two-way prospect at this stage. At the plate, he starts in a tall, athletic stance. Uses a small stride. Tendency to bar in his load, which creates some stiffness. Overcomes this with quick hands (87 mph exit velocity). Creates solid contact with pull power in his swing. Should only get better as a hitter as he makes some small fixes. In the field, he shows athleticism in his feet. Reached a top velocity of 75 mph with long arm action. On the mound, he uses a quick tempo. Throws through a 3/4 to high 3/4 arm slot with a fastball that sat in the high 70's and reached up to 83 mph. 1/20/14
6-foot-3, 208 pound two-way guy with a projectable frame.  Combination of athleticism and strength.  Clocked in a 7.49 60 yard dash time.  Throws with short arm action through a 3/4 slot.  Features some softness in hands, and a quick exchange.  Showed some life on throws topping out at 74 mph.  Powerful right handed bat.  Uses a balanced straight on stance with short stride.  Tends to bar arm.  Uses a level swing path with simplified swing mechanics.  Reached a top exit velocity of 87 mph off the tee.  On the mound, he displays some looseness in arm action.  Smooth rhythm.  Some effort in delivery.  Fastball displayed constant arm-side while sitting between 75-76 mph.  Displayed good feel for his 62-64 mph breaking ball that showed average depth with 11/5 tilt.  Throws an advanced changeup for his age.  Sits 70-72 mph and thrown with deceptive fastball arm speed.  Definitely worth keeping an eye on as the year progresses.
