1/22/17 5-foot-9, 185-pound prospect. At the plate he starts in an athletic balanced setup. Uses simple mechanics and lets his natural strength and bat speed go to work. Path is slightly uphill. Ball came off his bat well in batting practice, showing the ability to drive the baseball with authority. Would like to see his barrel in the zone longer. From behind the dish, he shows some quickness in his feet and transfer. Tends to jab step to the outside of his body and never squares up his lower half. Hands work quickly but at sacrifice of arm strength. Short transfer and release from the ear.
2/20/16 5-foot-7, 180-pound average frame. At the plate the Everett starts in a wide setup and uses a toe-turn to initiate his lower half. Hands stay simple and get through the zone with some strength and batspeed. Reached a top exit velocity of 78 mph. Behind the dish he created good direction to second base but will need to quicken up his transfer. Pop times ranged from 2.15-2.23 and he threw with 68 mph arm strength to second base. In the outfield he uses quick footwork before fielding the ball deep in the middle of his body. He displayed 71 mph arm strength on his throws to home plate.
