7/11/18 Grassi is an athletic built prospect that uses a high straight leg kick to load his lower half when on the mound. He throws from a high ¾ arm slot but has a tendency to fly open after balance point causing arm to drag. His fastball was thrown at 70-74 mph. He throws a 12/6 type curveball at 67-69 mph which shows his fastball has more in the tank. His third offering was a 64-66 mph changeup that had slight arm side run to it. Grassi shows plenty of signs of potential improvements on the mound as he works on his mechanics. In the outfield approaches the ball under control with average footwork. Ball skills are on par for class with clean transfer into throws Arm works through near OT slot with throws on target. A righty swinger that starts in a tall setup. Athletic load followed by a balanced launch. Nice, easy swing through the zone on a level path. Has feel for squaring up the baseball. More present strength through the zone. Has the look of a high average guy. Consistently backspun balls to the oppo gap in BP. 60-yard dash: 7.92 Outfield Velocity: 75 Exit Velocity: 83

Ran a 4.94 from home to first. An outfielder the uses calm footwork while getting to the baseball to ensure ball security. Would be aided by playing one handed through the baseball. Threw to home plate with 70 mph arm strength. At the plate he starts in a tall setup. Has a fluid loading sequence where he incorporates a knee pinch. Hands start near launch and remain loose during stride. Would be aided by getting more weight transfer into contact to turn his singles into extra base hits. Top exit velocity was 81 mph.
