7/5/17 - Lampham is a 6-foot 150-pound right-handed hitting shortstop in Ohio’s 2020 class.  He ran a 7.15 60 and has a 76 mph exit velocity. At the plate, slightly open stance, short in line stride, controlled load with no wasted movement, compact swing, repeats, mostly pull side line drives.  On the infield, 74 mph positional velo, high three quarters arm slot, quick catch and throw, quick to the ball, athletic actions, made all plays cleanly during defensive evaluations.

A right-handed hitter that starts in an athletic setup. Goes with a knee pinch to get his lower half started. Hands stay quiet before getting the bat through the zone on a level path. Gets on plane early and takes a level path to the baseball. More pop than frame would suggest. Swing is efficient and he should see more pop as his frame fills out. In the infield he plays under control and moves light on his feet. Not flashy but gets the job done. Glove works and he has confidence in it. Solid, young infielder.
