6-foot, 180-pound legitimate two-way prospect at this point. Coming from a small town program, Middlemus has played multiple positions throughout his career, never really getting to devote himself to one position. Nonetheless, he shows some quickness in his arm from a high 3/4 arm slot. His lower half works, but still has room for improvement has he tends to swing his leg instead of leading with front hip. His fastball sat at 82-84 mph, but didn't show much movement. He breaking ball is a good out-pitch at this stage with good late 11/5 action. The two-plane action is an effective swing and miss pitch. Meanwhile, his changeup is still in a work in progress as it sits 80-81 mph. Additionally, at a smaller program, Middlemus should be considered a two-way prospect. He has a durable, physical frame; somewhat prototypical catcher's body. His throws are accurate and his pop times ranged between 2.01 to 2.09. He shows some pop in his swing, but will need to simplify and shorten for the next level.
5-foot-11, 165-pound prospect with average, athletic frame. Uses short arm action through high ¾ arm slot. Reached a top velocity of 75 mph. Athletic actions with some softness in his hands. At the plate, the right-handed hitter starts with a slightly open stance. Tends to wrap in his loads. Shows some quickness in his hands. Squared up the baseball. Fluid rhythm to his swing. Registered top exit velocity of 83 mph. Ran a 4.7 out of the box.
5-foot-11, 165-pound infield prospect. Posses strong, athletic frame. Registered a 7.45 60-yard dash. Uses short arm action through high ¾ arm slot in the field. Reached a top velocity of 77 mph with accuracy to his throws. Likely best suited for third base at the next level. At the plate, he starts with a slightly open stance. Uses a short stride. Takes a short, uphill path to the ball. Consistently squared up the baseball with solid contact to all fields.
