4/2/17 - Left on left two-way player at 6-foot, 180-pounds and room to carry more strength. Lindgren worked out at first with smooth actions and feel for the bag and balls in the dirt. Turned double play well and carried himself well there. At the plate, left-handed bat, compact stance, small pickup for stride, minimal load in hands, room to generate more out his frame, did work to get level with path, more in the tank and room to finish his swing. On the mound, over the top arm slot, arm is long in back but able to get on top and work down in zone. Fastball was 78-79, more with added strength gains. Changeup was best pitch with depth and fastball actions, curveball can be useful pitch when he stays on top, shows right spin. Interesting 19' grad, can make jumps as he continues to develop and mature.

Young 2019 grad listed at 6-foot, 170-pounds. Hits from narrow stance with knees in crouched position, small stride and quiet load, minimal movement, can generate more power in lower half, short to the ball, slap hitter who tries to use the whole field, exit velocity was 69 mph. Defensively, moves well around first, confident actions, velocity across the diamond was 70 mph. On the mound, was 72-74 mph with his fastball from high 3/4 arm slot. Was around the zone and had some action when on top, curveball can be thrown with more intent, was low 60's with 2/8 shape, changeup had better separation with fastball at 63-64 mph. Good foundation, continued reps and development will play big role for Lindgren.
