6-foot-1, 165-pound catcher with lanky frame. At the plate starts with weight on his front side, feet are closed off, uses a short stride to get back on line, solid at contact, aggressive hitter, good use of the back side, hands load down and back, a little rushed, tends to drop under the ball, minimal separation, finishes long and high. In the infield he’s confident with the glove, good footwork, comes through the ball, quick release. Behind the plate looks agile with his lower half, quick through the ball, registered a 2.28 POP time, transfers low and takes some time on the release, throws were on target.

5-foot-11, 150-pound catcher who looks to add strength gains. Ran a 4.88 from home to first and a 5.25 in the 40-yard dash. At the plate, hits with knees bent in an even stance. Small stride with very little hand movement and load. Tends to breakdown on backside and get underneath ball. Exit velocity was 72 mph. Defensively, Jones looked agile in lower half. Transfer was low and footwork would get wide creating a tough angle to throw down to second. Pop time was 2.31 while his velocity topped out at 62 mph.
