Offensively, starts in upright stance with small toe-tap to stride, hands are up with small separation, finishes through the ball well with small lift in swing near the end, good foundation, timing and strength will be keys for Martinez at the plate. Defensively, sets up well, arm would drag at times on his throws to second, ability to stay connected with body through transfers will help with accuracy. Overall, 2018 left-handed bat and catcher who will make gains as he matures and adds strength.
