Offensively, starts from a evenly closed lower half with slight knee bend. Hands just past back shoulder with bat angle up. Small stride online with minimal hand movement. Showed some hand speed and nice flat bat path on a few swings. Ball had some good carry and extension on a couple Can involve backside and lower half more. Good foundation to work with as a 2018, exit velocity was 79 mph. Defensively, Walsh timing between catch and transfer will help improve his time of 2.32. Tends to transfer low before getting into his ¾ arm slot from behind the dish. Best velocity down to second was 64 mph. Young kid with some athletic actions. More reps and hard work will pay off for Walsh.
