9.10.17 - Arender is a left-handed pitcher with good size at 6-foot-2, 170-pounds. Is under control with delivery as he works from 3/4 arm slot and shows good plane on his fastball at 74-75. Shows feel and understanding with secondary stuff, curveball works at 64 with shape and spin. Room for Arender to use his size and lower half more throughout his delivery. At the plate, Arender hits with a small leg kick and a slightly downhill bat path. Shows strength for age and more of a pull side approach. In the field, its an advanced feel at first base, feet work well around the bag and will make his counterparts in the infield better. Big lefty with upside on the mound for the 2019 grad.
