4/2/17 - Foster worked in the mid 70's with his fastball and showed the ability to work in the strike zone with all his pitches. At the plate, left-handed bat that had top exit velocity of 81 mph. Quiet lower half and does good job with hands to get loaded and ready to hit. Line drive type hitter with room to generate more power into swing. Stays under control with extension in swing. 2018 grad who can incorporate more intent on both the mound and at the plate.

6-foot-2, 230-pound two-way player with big frame. At the plate registered one of the event’s top exit velocities at 82 mph, good pop to the opposite field, gets jammed at times but makes hard contact when he gets the hands out. Has more in the tank with better use of his core and lower-half. Defensively moves well around the infield, makes the plays, smooth, confident. On the mound showed some athleticism, fastball topped out at 74 mph, releases from a high 3/4-arm slot and is a strike-thrower. Foster is a 2018 grad and with some added muscle will be an interesting follow in the coming years.
