At the plate, hands start even, slight bat wrap on his load, rushes a little with the lower half, quiet overall stance gives him a chance to get the barrel out, 66 mph exit velocity. Behind the plate has a quick transfer, had a 2.20 pop time, fell off balance at times on his throws with a 70 mph arm velo. Nevins has the body to grow, and can also profile as a first baseman.

5-foot-11, 150-pound with room to fill out and gain added strength. Offensively, ran a time of 5.04 down to first while his 40-yard dash time was 5.81. A the plate, Nevins hit from an open stance with a small stride to gt back online. Hands start up with small to no load. Controlled bat and barrel well. Was able to get the head out on a number of pitches while staying up the middle with line drives. Added strength will be a big asset for Nevins. Exit velocity was 64 mph. Defensively, Nevins pop time was 2.47 while his velocity was 63 mph from behind the plate. Arm action tends to get a little long, being able to shorten up and speed up his feet will help Nevins improve on his times.
