Two way player listed at 5-foot-11, 170-pounds. Starts from an even, upright stance at the plate with some pre pitch movement with his bat. Medium stride to load with hands back in good position to hit. At time hits off back side, can translate body through ball for more power, exit velocity was 70 mph. In the outfield, worked with short arm that had some whip. Approached ball clean and balls had some carry. Velocity was 77 mph from the outfield. On the mound, Brilinger worked from a 3/4 arm slot and at times would get underneath the ball. His landing leg would collapse at times making it tough for him to get on top of the ball. His fastball sat 72-73 while his breaking ball was 66-68 mph. Some added corrections to his landing foot would play dividends for Brillinger.
