1/28/18 - 5-foot-10, 165-pound primary pitcher sat 80-82 from a high 3/4 arm slot with an easy, balanced delivery that is likely to yield velocity spikes in the near future. We have previously seen Weakland work at 83-85 routinely during the past 12 months. Curveball sat 68-70 with two plane depth and 10/4 shaped. Changeup is an advanced pitch thrown with good sell at 75-77 with sink and arm side run. Right-handed hitter starts from a narrow, slightly open stance and initiates his swing with an abbreviated leg-hang stride. Displayed a direct swing path with a line-drive approach and a bat exit velocity of 82 mph.
