10/19/13 Salazar is a 5-foot-9, 160-pound two-way prospect that topped at 81 mph off the mound. He showed athletic actions and the ability to play the baseball on the move with throws of 78 mph across the diamond from his middle infield position. Salazar utilizes a square stance and no stride at the plate. His flat bat through the hitting zone allowed him to consistently barrel the baseball to all fields during his round of batting practice with a bat exit velocity of 80 mph. Salazar has a unique delivery that allows him to hide the baseball well. The righty incorporates a high leg kick and rotates his upper body to show his numerals to the hitter. He sat 80-81 with some arm side run to his fastball. Salazar also flashed a 71 mph breaking ball that has slider action and a 75 mph changeup.
