Physical: 6-0, 180 pounds; Proportional, Slight build. Pitching: Uses a center rubber setup while using a side step. Belt high leg drive with a slight lean over the belt. Has a long stride landing inline with the plate. Moderate arm swing while arm stays in line with 2B; high/over the top slot. Spins off 3B side with finish. 10/29/22
Physical: Stocky, projectable 6-foot, 180lb frame. 7.51 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH. Balanced, taller stance, as the hands start up/down at the shoulder. Utilized a quick leg-lift stride to initiate the swing through a slightly uphill path into the hitting zone with some bat-speed. Heavy barrel produced lots of hard contact towards the pull-side of the field. Hit behind a stiff front side and recorded a T87 mph exit velocity via Trackman. Worked around the ball occasionally.
Defensively: The outfielder displayed an early shuffle in the route, then positioned the body downhill over the toes. Fielded off his right and reached back for a full OTT slot with adequate pace (78 mph). Corner OF skill set.
Pitching: LHP. Southpaw begins off the middle of the rubber with efficient balance and an over-the-top delivery. Strike-thrower who finishes pitches out in front, holding 77-80 mph for strikes (2000). Featured a two-plane curveball into the upper-60’s that dodged barrels (-8 inch IVB) and added a commanded 68-70 mph straight-CH. More velocity coming.
2/27/22
Physical: Tall, 6-foot, 175lb frame with projection available.
Pitching: LHP - Started from the far right side of the rubber; quicker pace in the drop-step getting up to a balanced, even stack position. Utilized some drop and drive to get down the slope and landed a 74-75, T76 mph FB out of an OTT slot. Spun a 61-63 mph CB showing two-plane feel and strikes, finding the release over the front side. Also faded a low-spin 67-69 mph CH to the arm-side of the plate.
