2/12/17 6-foot-1, 205-pounder signed to play his collegiate baseball at St. Joseph''s (IN) in November, but things changed for him when the college announced plans to close its doors in May of 2017. Kokoski, ranked No. 35 in the PA Class of 2017, is back on the market and will draw plenty of attention from schools looking for a backstop that can make an early impact at the next level. The right-handed hitter starts from a slightly open stance and initiates his swing with a short, lift-and-replace stride. Physical athlete registered a 95 mph bat exit velocity with quick hands, a short swing path and a strong lower half. Advanced defender consistently registers pop times that hover around 2.00 and has shown above average in-game catch and throw skills throughout his high school career.

8/19/16 Kokoski showcased a college ready skill set with an impressive all-around performance. The 6-foot-1, 205-pound catcher control the game with his advanced arm strength all weekend throwing out a number of would-be base stealers while also picking a number of runners off with snap throws to all three bases. The St. Joseph's (IN) commit flashed consistent pop times of 2.00 or better between innings. Offensively the right-handed hitter 3-for-10 with a triple, two RBI and two runs scored while making loud contact in a number of other at bats.
2/14/16 6-foot-1, 205-pound right-handed hitter. Starts from a slightly open stance with a high hands load and initiates his swing with a short, toe-tap stride. Physical athlete creates advanced barrel whip (95 mph bat exit velocity) with quick hands, a direct swing path and an explosive lower half. Ran a 7.25 60-yard dash and flashed 78 mph arm strength from the crouch with pop times of 1.93-2.00. Tall defensive stance and stays tall to receive.

6/23/15 6-foot-1, 195-pound athletic body frame. From the crouch he tends to rush his lower half trying to get turned to get in line on his throws down to second base. He has a good, quick transfer using a clean, short arm action coming from a high ¾ slot using 80 mph velocity, showing some arm strength to produce pop times between 1.90-1.97. Right-handed hitter starts from a wide, balanced stance. He uses a fluid hands back load and swings with an upward bat path. Finishes with a high one-handed follow through. He reached a top exit velocity of 88 mph and showed quick hands during his round of batting practice. Ran a 4.51 out of the batter’s box to first base.

2/22/15 Equipped with a durable, 6-foot-1, 205-pound frame. He starts in a balanced stance. Throwing from a high-3/4 arm slot, Kokoski shows some quickness to his exchange, although his arm action has some length to it. Still, he reached a top velocity of 79 mph with pop times between 1.96-2.08. At the plate, the right-handed hitter starts with a balanced stance and a slight crouch. Uses a small stride and load. Some loft to his swing. Hands are quick to the ball. Can get a bit stiff and mechanical. Strong kid that should only improve as he loosens up and allows his athleticism to take over. Top exit velocity of 87 mph off the tee. Definite follow.
