5-foot-11, 170-pound athletic, projectable body frame, lower half is put together, has plenty of room to fill out. A right-handed hitting middle infielder, legs and natural strength in his hands are a big time plus. Ran a 4.03 from home to first, moved fluidly, long strider. At the plate, he hits from an even and a little wider stance. The hands are set just off the shoulders, uses a toe tap for timing. The path is level through the zone with some whip and life out front. The front foot could get down slightly sooner, would help with timing and balance. The tee exit velocity was 86 mph, showed plus bat speed with strength. Defensively, showed good prep steps, got around balls, could keep his feet moving towards target after throw. The hands are soft, fielded out front, arm was clocked at 71 mph, it’s clean, but needs strength. Gifted with his legs and strength in his hands, is an interesting kid, might be better suited in the outfield, follow him.
