3/25/18

5-foot-10, 180-pound frame. A right-handed hitting two-way player with a slightly open stance. The swing is short to the ball and the approach is mid to pull, swing creates lift and loft to it. The tee exit velocity was clocked at 89 MPH, made hard solid contact during rounds of batting practice, squaring one ball up after another. At third base, he has plus hands and good feet. The arm action is clean and works out of a ¾ slot. The arm was clocked at 73 MPH from third base, good strength across the diamond with flight and carry to all throws. . The sixty-yard dash was run at 7.78 seconds. On the mound, the arm action is clean and works out of a natural ¾ slot. The delivery is repeatable and he pounds the zone consistently. The fastball was clocked at 74-77 MPH and the change up is a good pitch that was clocked at 68-69 MPH, showed arm side fade, with correct action and fade to it, comes out of the hand looking like a fastball. He throws two different breaking balls, the curveball was clocked at 67-68 MPH while the slider was clocked at 70-72 MPH. The slider has a chance to be an out pitch, depth and late break to it. Look for the game to continue to climb.

Sixty-Yard Dash: 8.46
Exit Velocity: 82 MPH
Arm Velocity: 73 MPH

7/18/17

5-foot-10, 175-pound, strong, thick athletic frame. Shows to have above average strength for his age. A right-handed hitter, the stance is slightly open, hands are set at shoulder height, back elbow gets extended outward. The lower half is under control, stride is short and simple, keeps weight back. The swing is level to up, keeps hands inside the baseball, lets the baseball travel, barrel stays in the zone for a long time. The approach is from gap to gap, tee exit velocity was clocked at 80 mph. Defensively, has smooth clean actions moves very well to the glove side, works from the ground up, with hands out front to field the baseball. The feet move throughout, gain ground towards his target. The arm action is short and clean, throws from a higher slot from his ear. The arm was clocked at 68 mph, with more in the tank as he gets stronger. Started the double with ease, gave good feeds with rhythm and timing. Off the mound, this right-hander has a simple, controlled delivery, the arm action is super clean and short on the backside. The arm works out of a natural ¾ slot, fastball was clocked at 67-70 mph, look for velocity to continue to climb. The breaking ball was clocked at 65 mph, it's more of a slider. Projects for me as more of a corner infielder, has a chance to really hit and hit with some gap power. Good follow for the class of 2020.

Home-First: 5.16
Exit Velocity: 80 MPH
Arm Velocity: 68 MPH

3/19/17

5-foot-9, 180-pound, strong, thick athletic frame. The wrists and forearms have good strength to them. A right-handed hitting third baseman who pitches as well. The stance is open, gets back to even with stride foot, hands are loose, are set at shoulder height. The hands have some controlled pre pitch movement to them. The swing is down to level to up, keeps the barrel in the zone for a good amount of time, the approach was middle of the field to pull. The finish is with one hand, stays through the baseball well, the barrel has life and whip to it out front, the tee exit velocity was clocked at 79 mph, look for it to jump rather quickly in the next year. Defensively, feet and hands work well together at third base. Moves very well to both sides, fields out front, transfer is clean, gets baseball to throwing arm quickly. The arm was clocked at at 67 mph, works out of a natural ¾ slot. The double play feeds and starts were smooth, showed good actions. Off the mound, this right-hander has good direction to the plate, repeats his delivery with ease. The fastball was clocked at 71-73 mph, breaking ball has downward break, more 12/6 action to it, clocked at 65-66 mph. Throws a circle change, good action to it clocked at 70 mph. Times to the plate were at 1.40. Good looking hitter, high follow more to come with this one.
