5-foot-10, 160-pound, average athletic frame, has plenty of room to fill out, movements are loose and free. One of the better pitchers I’ve seen this winter, has a controlled, repeatable delivery from the left side. The leg raise is under control, gets to a good gather, coil to it at its peak, keeps the weight back. The separation is on time, direction is inline, gets squared up to the plate on release, frontside is closed down with minimal pull with front glove. The arm action is short, has a small hook on the bottom of circle, pounded the zone with all three pitches. The arm slot is ¾, looks like he could drop it a bit to give another look. The fastball was clocked at 77-79 mph, located well to both sides, had plus movement to arm side. The breaking ball was thrown hard at 70-75 mph, has tilt and depth to it, was his best pitch. The changeup was clocked at 72-73 mph, comes directly out of the same slot, sold it well. Times to the plate were at 1.50, has serious feel with all three pitches, should be a low to mid 80’s guy, with two above average secondary pitches. Big time follow for me, pitchability looks to be very high.
