Jax Sparks (‘26, Hardin Valley) Sparks who is a Prep Baseball Futures Games 2023 participant would get the ball in a must win game for the Hawks against a very solid Bearden Lineup. He would allow one run in the first before settling in. He would proceed to allow only 2 runs on 5 hits in a marathon 10 innings game, of which he would throw 8 and a third innings of, striking out 6 and only walking 2. Sparks would cruise in the mid to high 80s, occasionally getting up to 89 and 90. He would utilize a 2 pitch mix with a high level slider to induce lots of weak contact. The sophomore looks to be a major part of the Hawks program for the next two years and have a massive summer on the travel ball circuit

Jax Sparks (2026, HVA) The Futures Games 2023 participant and #14 ‘26 overall in TN was on full display on Wednesday against Maryville. Sparks got the ball for Hardin Valley and did not look back, his fastball was up to 91 early in the game eventually settling in in the mid to high eighties. He also featured a breaking ball with a sharp sweeping action (77-79) and a changeup with good late depth (80-81). He was able to pitch his way out of some tough situations, striking out the side in the second with 2 runners on, as well as a bases loaded strikeout in the 4th. Sparks went 5 innings in a HVA runrule win, finishing with 5IP 6H 1 ER 3BB and 6 SO. The uncommitted sophomore helped his own cause on offense, collecting hits from both sides of the plate with 2 RBIs. ‘26 SS Jax Sparks (@TNNationalsBB) barrels up 2 pitches in his AB here, w/ a nice adjustment on a CB for a base hit. Rips a heater foul in first clip, then sits back & shows some solid upper half strength and feel for a barrel to line one up the middle. @PBRTennessee#SESelectpic.twitter.com/mYT83sLoRu
