6/14/16 - Max FB: 85, FB: 82-85, CB: 70-72,
6'4, 177-pound, RHP shows a long and loose delivery from a high ¾ arm slot, uses a methodical motion to really gather himself before he heads home.  Fastball was firm although without much movement, lanky build helps Reno get down the mound consistently, curveball was harder and sharper than previous events and showed some good 11/5 action as an out pitch, changeup was much more developed than we’ve seen as he wasn’t scared to throw it to righties or lefties with good arm speed .  Reno seemed much more polished on the mound than in the past and seems to be taking strides in the right direction.

1/18/16 - 6-foot-4, 174-pound righty throws from a high-¾ arm slot with a long and loose delivery, fastball stayed mostly straight but touched 83 mph, lanky build helps the ball get on the hitter quicker than velo would suggest, curveball sat 64-66 and showed more of a 12/6 action than in past PBR events, threw CB for strikes, changeup stayed in the 72-73 mph range with some fade, but had trouble keeping it in the zone. Big time potential in Reno as his frame and athleticism leave you to believe there’s still a lot left in the tank. Two-way prospect, as well. As a position player, hits from a tall and athletic stance, uses a conventional stride length with an occasional toe tap in the middle and a very fluid hand load to initiate his swing, good use of the lower half and good rhythm help tremendously, ability to drive through the ball on a fairly level swing plane produced some very prevalent gap-to-gap power and an 87 mph exit velocity off the tee.  Defensively, showed some very good athleticism in the outfield with his solid footwork and sure hands, played through the ball very well and showed a clean exchange, long and loose arm action from a high-3/4 release resulted in an 85 mph position velocity with accuracy and carry.  Reno ran a 7.62 60-yard dash.  Also pitched well, making a case to be a highly recruited 2-way player at many levels.
6/23/15 - The 6 foot 4, 174-pound righty has a tall lanky build. Throwing from a long high-¾ arm slot the righty’s fastball showed similar velocity as it has in previous events and sat 79-80mph topping out at 82mph. Curveball sat from 65-67mph and varied between 10/4 and 11/5 action. Changeup sat at 69-70mph with some sink and fade with a good velocity diefference off the fastball. During game play, Reno recorded two strikeouts, gave up one hit, and walked two batters. Though he hasn’t shown it yet, he should be watched closely for a jump in velocity.  As a position player,  posted a 5.17 home to 1st time and had a 77 mph position velocity from the outfield, and 81 mph position velocity across the infield. Defensively Reno showed good arm strength, average hands, natural instincts, clean exchange with long arm action. Offensively Reno shows good bat speed from the right side and had an 87 mph exit velocity off the tee. Reno Hits from a balanced setup, has a short stride, good balance, aggressive approach, is a gap to gap type hitter with flashes of power. Reno has good overall strength at the plate. He went 0-for-3 in game play making contact at every at bat
2/7/15 - The 6-foot-4, 173-pound RHP has a tall and lanky frame with good projection, works through a high-3/4 arm slot, Reno establishes his fastball well for strikes sitting at 77-79mph and topping out at 82mph. Due to his long release and tall size the ball seems to jump out to the hitters and get into the strike zone quickly. His curveball 65-67mph has a sharp 10/4 sweeping break across the plate; Reno’s changeup sits at 67-69mph and has a gradual downward sinking action, frame and current velocity make him a prospect to keep a close eye on.
As a position player, the 6-foot-4, 173-pound INF/OF ran a 7.62 60 yard dash time and had a position velocities of INF-79mph/OF-83mph, Defensively  Reno showed good footwork and natural instincts, showed good arm strength and long arm action, adequate hands. At the plate Reno hits from a balance setup with a short stride, gets close to arm bar in load creating some length in swing, is a line drive type hitter, showed above average bat speed with 86mph exit velocity off the tee, offensive game should continue to evolve with added physical strength.
