04.28.17 - Texas Tech recruit. 6-foot-6, 180-pound, lean, projectable frame. Farr scorched two balls in his first two at-bats, both to centerfield, and both directly into the teeth of the wind. He reached on an error in his third at-bat, then stole second and third, eventually scoring the game-winning run.
03.23.17 - Texas Tech recruit. 6-foot-6, 180-pound, long, lean projectable frame. The left-hander works from a ¾ slot with a long, clean arm stroke and an athletic delivery. Farr got off to a great start, striking out the side in the top of the first. His fastball touched 90 mph once, but worked mostly in the 86-88 mph range. He was able to command his fastball to both sides of the plate and was extremely effective against right-handed hitters, moving it in under their hands and then darting it out on the black away. His slider has 2-8 shape with sharp bite at 76-78 mph. The pitch has very little hump out of the hand and is tough to pick up. Farr struck out twelve Ft. Worth Country Day batters and picked up the complete game, six inning, no hitter. Farr, a right-handed hitter, would also hit a double to the left field wall in his last at-bat, driving in the final run for the Saints, putting them up 10-0. The junior also plays wide receiver in football and is an all around athletic prospect with a very high ceiling.
