6.24.15 Halmrast has a strong lower half and throws from a high three-quarters arm slot with a rushed drop and drive delivery. He has a long arm action that is a bit stiff and generates velocity with normal effort. His shoulders are uphill and closed and he lands closed before coming to an athletic finish. Halmrast’s fastball touched 77 and sat 74-76 with slight sink and good downhill plane. He threw a late-breaking 11/5 curveball with decent armspeed that ran 64-66. His changeup was also thrown with decent armspeed and sinking action, running 68-71. He commanded his fastball and changeup very well and did a good job keeping his breaking ball down.
