He has a short arm action and decent armspeed that generates velocity with normal effort. His shoulders are closed as he strides out and lands closed before coming to an athletic finish. Yogi’s fastball ran 75-78 with some sinking action and he also showed the ability to cut it a bit. His curveball had sharp 12/6 action and was thrown with decent armspeed running 62-64. He also threw a fading changeup with decent armspeed that sat 69. Offensively, Hit from an athletic and balanced stance that was slightly open. Good rhythm in hands. Loads back with an arm bar. Slight leg kick stride that gets on line. Average lower half turn. Balanced maintained. Bat exit velocity of 82 MPH. Level swing path with extension. Line drive hitter. Really go the barrel through the zone. Was a productive hitter during games. In the field, threw from a high ¾ arm slot was a long arm action. Showed soft hand and average footwork. Showed slightly above average arm strength with some carry across the diamond. Footwork could be cleaned up. Hands worked well at the position.
