5.31.17: Hanner has an athletic frame, throws from a three-quarters arm slot. Short, quick arm action with some effort. Shoulders closed as he strides out. Fastball sat 88-90 early, touching 91. Pitch had a flat plane but late life to it. Held his velocity well, sitting 89 and touching 90 in the fourth. Threw a hard change-up that was 85-86 with very good armspeed and very hard run to it. Slider had 10/4 action and was 65-73. At the lower end of the range he slowed his arm and it was loopier, pitch was very good in the 72-73 range, with sharp hard break.

2.11.17:  Hanner is 6-2 with an athletic frame, throws from a three-quarters arm slot with a short, quick arm action and normal effort. Shoulders level and closed, strides on line with a slight fall off finish. Fastball sat 87-89 with hard late run. Change-up was 77-80 with some armspeed and hard fading action. Curveball was 65-68 with some armspeed and late sharp 12/6 action. Slider had late 11/5 break and was 74-76. Hits from the right side from a balanced athletic stance, heel lift stride and slight load back, good rhythm. Good hips and balance throughout swing, level swing path with extension through the ball. Good approach working the middle of the field, exit velocity was 88. At short, above average footwork and above average hands. Clean exchange, throws from three-quarters arm slot with fast arm, shortstop velocity of 91.

10/2016 - A legitimate two-way threat. is 84-87 on the mound with an 11/5 breaking ball with tight spin. Defensively has athleticism to stay as a SS. Smooth actions with good feet around the bag. An aggressive hitter who has gap-to-gap ability at the plate with present pop and bat speed.
