Dezarn didn't get to swing much at the plate, working a walk and getting hit by a pitch twice in four plate appearances. He had a strong game defensively at short, showing smooth actions and athleticism, having to make plays to both sides that also showed off his range. He has a good rhythm fielding the ball and clean exchange with some arm strength.

Preseason All-State 

Dezarn is 5-10 with an athletic frame that still has projection to it, he hits from the right side from an upright open stance, strides on line, smooth load back, good rhythm to his swing. Explosive lower half with some balance to his swing. Very short to contact, level swing with extension uphill through contact. Quick bat, line drive swing with some power projection, exit velocity was 78. On the infield, quick clean feet, works around ball to field with a good wide base and soft hands. Pushes through the ball to a quick clean exchange, throws from a low three-quarters arm slot with a short, loose arm action, infield velocity was 82. Has some speed, home to first was 4.23.

1.29.17:  Dezarn is 5-8 with a lanky frame, hits from the right side from a balanced athletic stance. Short leg kick stride, slight load back into wrap, drifts onto front side, decent hips. Short, level swing path, line drive swing, good approach using the middle of the field, exit velocity of 72. At short, clean footwork and soft hands, plays through ball, good rhythm. Short arm action from low three-quarters slot, position velocity of 71. Home to first time was 4.45.
