2/22/2015: Methven stands 6-foot-1 and has a lanky frame. He has a tall and fall delivery and throws from an over-the-top arm slot. His backside arm action is long and stiff and he generates velocity with normal effort. His shoulders are uphill and closed and he strides out closed before landing square and falling off a bit as he finishes. Methven’s fastball had slight running action to it that he commanded well, running 71-73 and touching 74. He threw a 11/5 breaking curveball with decent armspeed that he worked down with, running 62-64. He threw a cutting change-up with decent armspeed that was choked a bit and he kept down, running 68-70.
