PLAYER SPOTLIGHT

Austin Bergner

Bergner is one of the top underclassmen in the country and likely already has some big college programs knocking on his door. He jumps out immediately with his long, athletic frame at 6-foot-3, 170 pounds. Everything he does looks easy. He has loose actions in the field and an easy delivery on the mound. At the plate, he has a tall, relaxed set-up and solid bat speed. On the mound, he can sit in the 90-92 range with projectable secondary stuff.

Hunter Bowling

Bowling, a LHP for American Heritage stands an impressive 6-foot-7, 215 pounds. Hunter uses his tall, athletic frame, to attack hitters with a dominant downhill fastball. Bowling’s fastball sits in the low 90’s but will reach the mid 90’s at times. Bowling’s secondary pitches are a tight breaking ball he throws in the low 80’s and a change up he’s able to throw with effective arm side run. Bowing recently participated in the Under Armour All America game at Wrigley Field. Hunter Bowling has committed to the University of Florida.

Cole Sands

RHP/3B Cole Sands (NFC). Sands has an athletic 6-foot-3, 200 pound frame. On the mound, the big RHP/3B fastball has been clocked at  90-92 mph from a high 3/4 arm slot. The projectable Sands throws a sweeping curveball as well as a developing change up. Cole played along side his older brother Carson (2014) at North Florida Christian HS. Carson was a LHP fourth round pick of the Chicago Cubs. Cole Sands has committed to Florida State University.

Alex Reynolds

Alex Reynolds is a 6-foot-2, 180 pound OF/LHP for Land O’ Lakes HS. Reynolds has an athletic frame with good and accurate arm strength. At the plate, Reynolds hit .368 with 23 RBI along with 8 doubles and 1 HR. Reynolds hits in the middle of the lineup for the Gators and has done so as a varsity starter his entire high school career.
