Aaron Hedgecock

6-foot-2, 185-pound, strong frame with some projectability.  On the mound has shown a big increase in velocity over the last year, arm has gotten significantly quicker using medium arm action through a high ¾ slot, fastball showed some late arm-side run and sink at 85-87 mph, struggled with command of 73-76 mph breaking ball burying most in the dirt, good arm action on 77-78 mph changeup that was mostly straight on this occasion, struggled with overall command early but settled in to allow one hit and strike out 2 of the 5 hitters he faced, Hedgecock has added a solid 8 mph to his fastball since we first saw him last summer.

6-foot-5, 190-pound prospect with lanky frame and big projectability, uses long arm action through a high ¾ arm slot, good rhythm and tempo in delivery, fastball showed late arm-side life at 85-86 mph, throws a 74-76 mph curveball and 78 mph slider, some inconsistency with the breaking balls but some sliders showed sharp/late break and have the potential to be a swing-and-miss type pitch with further development, showed good command of 76-79 mph changeup with significant sink and fade thrown with good arm action, big upside for this potential high-level prospect.

6-foot-4, 190-pound prospect, athletic frame with projection, good tempo in delivery, works through a low ¾ slot that produces significant arm-side run on fastball which sat 80-82 mph, through a 74 mph changeup once, secondary pitches will need continued development, allowed one hit and walked none in two innings of work, has recently decommitted from Marshall University.
