4.14.15 - 6-foot-1, 180-pound right-handed hitting 3B/RHP ranked No. 156 in Illinoisâ 2015 class, committed to SIU-Edwardsville. Hits fourth for the Tigers, went 1-for-3, with two walks and a key solo home run to left field off Holba. Hits from a tall, narrow, balanced setup, long stride at times, hands are held low initially, they raise up and back during load. Impressed with pull side power in batting practice. Was fooled on homerun swing, out front of a slider, kept hands back and lined a ball to left with the wind blowing in, impressive that he was able to barrel the ball and hit it out with weight/lower half already gone. Impressed defensively throughout the game, short, high ¾ athletic arm action, comes and gets the ball at third base. On the mound, pitches backwards, threw 90 percent breaking balls, a slower curve for strikes at 69-71 mph with 12/6 shape, and a harder late breaking slider in the 74-77 mph range. Fastball was rarely used, topped out at 79 mph. Impressed with his command of breaking balls in his four scoreless innings of work.
7/9/14 - 6-foot-1, 180-pound right-handed hitting third baseman currently ranked No. 214 in Illinois’ 2015 class.  Committed to SIU-Edwardsville.  Impressed during live batting practice with above average bat speed and pop.  Hits from a tall, narrow, closed setup with a long stride at times producing 85 mph exit velocity and natural lift.  Hit an opposite field home run to right center field and several line drives from gap-to-gap.  Defensively, plays through the baseball with clean, fluid actions and average hands.  Throws 81 mph across the infield from a short, high ¾ arm slot with accuracy and carry.  Ran a 7.55 60.

6/7/14 - Currently unranked junior third basemen.  6-foot-1, 175-pound wiry frame with room to add.  Cleanup hitter.  Hits from closed stance with quick hands.  3-for-4 with two doubles to left and left center gap, and single in 6-hole.  Defensively impressed reading hops on a couple tough plays.  Shows average arm strength across the diamond with good accuracy in pregame.  Ran 4.58 to first on infield single.

6.19.13 - Jackson is a lanky 6-foot, 175-pound infielder and right-handed pitcher.  Flashed soft hands and showed range defensively at third-base,threw 80 mph across the infield with accuracy.  Offensively, hits from a balanced setup with a short stride.  Gap-to-gap hitter and squared up the ball consistently during BP– 84 mph exit velocity off the tee.  The 2015 grad could be a prospect to follow as his lanky frame fills out.  Works quickly on the mound, pitching with some rhythm – has short arm action from a high ¾ slot and a balanced finish.  Throws somewhat of a sneaky fastball sitting 77-79 mph; has a tight curveball at 65-67 mph with short 11/5 action; straight change is thrown with the same arm speed as his fastball ranging 71-75 mph.

The 6-foot, 165-pound Jackson displayed soft hands, an accurate arm with a quick release (74 mph), and good range in the infield. He fielded the ball out front and in an athletic position. At the plate, he has a quite approach and the barrel found the ball producing some line drives.
