4/6/14 - Unsigned senior prospect, currently ranked No. 194 in Illinois’ 2014 class. Highly projectable 6-foot-5, 195-pound frame, long limbs, plenty of room to physically develop. Works from 3/4 slot, long, loose arm action. Fastball ranged between 81-83 mph with arm-side run. Potentially more in tank. Also showed feel for 70-74 mph slider

8/9/13 - 6-foot-5, 195-pound, with a long, lanky body who shows projectability.  On the mound he has a tall and fall style delivery, with smooth rhythm and an athletic finish.  Throws from a high ¾ slot with a loose arm and easy effort.  His fastball sat 82-83 mph, flashing 84 mph with late arm side run and sink.  His curveball has an 11/5 shape with sharp action at 73-77 mph.  In game action he recorded all outs via the groundball.

6.11.13 - Kostecki is a 6-foot-4, 190-pound lanky right-handed pitcher and first-baseman.  Throws with long arm action coming from an over the top slot.  Has feel for all three pitches.  Located his fastball sitting 80-81 mph; good depth and command on his curve at 69-71 mph; changeup thrown between 71-74 mph.  Defensively, threw 72 mph across the infield.  Recorded an 88 mph exit velocity off the tee and ran a 7.78 60.
