Defensively, athletic actions, moves well behind the plate; agile blocker. Soft hands, sticks the pitch at the bottom of the zone. Strong arm, accurate, true ball, flashed carry, pop times ranged between 2.03-2.16. Offensively, handsy swing, stays on top of the baseball, contact, line-drive approach. Open setup, early pre-pitch load and short path to the baseball. Should be a high follow unsigned senior.

4.11.15 - Uncommitted left-handed hitting catcher. Athletic 6-foot-2 frame with good feet and overall athletic tendencies. Hits leadoff for team. Offensively, hits from tall, slightly open setup, relaxed, easy approach, uphill path. Singled up the middle, flew out to center field and grounded to third in three at-bats. Defensively, has athletic feet, average carry, 2.20-2.27 pop times between innings. High follow prospect in Illinois’ 2016 class.

4/1/14 - Ranked No. 117 in the state. Long projectable frame, slender build with athleticism, high athletic catcher. Hits from the left side, handsy swing, stays inside the baseball, middle to opposite field approach. Defensively showed a traditional catcher arm action, ball showed occasional carry. Has the athleticism to get out of the chute better, mechanics haven’t caught up. Can square his shoulders up better when blocking the baseball, soft hands receiving.
