A three-year varsity impact player, Chappell is a hard-nosed player who can play either middle infield position adeptly. Offensively, he enjoyed a monster junior campaign in which he batted .495 with 47 hits, 10 doubles, 4 homers, 44 RBI and 39 runs scored. Chappell also walked 26 times and held a .629 on-base percentage for the Rockets.
