His fastball, in the 79-80 mph range, showed some arm-side run, while his 68 mph curveball showed 11/5 shape. Balogh also threw a 66-67 mph changeup with similar arm action.

Balogh’s fastball topped at 81 mph, but with his length and arm quickness, he should see his velocity climb in the coming years. Balogh commanded the strike zone with three pitches, including a 66-68 mph curveball that has a sweeping action, and a 75-78 mph changeup that demonstrated sink down in the zone.

The 6-foot-2, 170-pound right-hander has a loose arm and a lean, projectable frame. He operated from a high ¾ arm slot with a fastball that sat at 78-79 mph and topped at 80 mph. This athletically built infielder had a solid all-around performance, as he graded out well in all facets. He showcased clean footwork and lateral quickness at third base, as well as an accurate arm with good whip action.
