12/15/13 - 6-foot-2, 205-pound, physical prospect, hands work, shows decent feet around the bag, long exchange with 77 mph arm across the infield.  At the plate, hits from an open stance, uses a leg kick trigger, aggressive approach with raw strength, solid round consistently squaring up the baseball, flashes some power potential, registered 92 mph tee exit velocity, ran 4.75 home to first base time.  On the mound, uses medium arm action thorough a high ¾ arm slot, lands open at times, fastball is straight at 78-81 mph, shows good command of 62-63 mph curveball with gradual 12/6 action, also throws a 67-68 mph cutter, has a tendency to slow arm on 61-62 mph changeup, secondary pitches need continued development.
Goldsmith is a physically impressive 6-foot-1, 195-pound two-way prospect who has the size and strength to hit for power in the future. At the plate, he has a quiet, tall setup to go along with an aggressive lower half. On the mound, the strong right-hander came from a high 3/4 arm slot with some late movement on his fastball.
Goldsmith is a physical 6-foot-2, 200-pound two-way player. On the mound, Goldsmith has a good backside drive as he gets through the ball. He has three different pitches a fastball (77-79 mph), curveball (57-59 mph), and a changeup (57-59 mph). In the field Goldsmith showed an accurate arm (75 mph) and clean actions from the shortstop position. Offensively, Goldsmith has an athletic setup with an aggressive lower half and showed some raw power potential.
1/22/12 Goldsmith impressed with his ability to barrel up the baseball, posting one of the highest exit velocities for the event, 84 mph.  Standing at 6-foot-2, 200-pounds, Goldsmith uses his big frame to generate good whip through the zone.  Defensively, Goldsmith stays through the ball and plays the position well, showing off an accurate arm (72 mph) from across the diamond.  On the mound, Goldsmith uses his strong lower half to drive off the mound and topped out at 81 mph with his fastball.
