6/12/12 Zitkus is a 5-foot-11, 150-pound multi-positional player who impressed with his easy left-handed swing.  Zitkus, has a fundamentally sound approach at the plate and maintains excellent balance throughout contact. He takes a concise approach to the baseball and consistently barreled up the baseball. Defensively, Zitkus displayed solid hands and played through the ball nicely.  He topped out at 69 mph from across the diamond. On the bump, Zitkus throws from an over the top arm slot and has a fastball that sits in the 71-72 mph range. He has two off-speed pitches; a 61-62 mph breaking ball with a 10/4 shape and a 67-70 mph changeup.
Will Zitkus is a Class of 2014 OF from Grant HS. At the plate, Zitkus displayed a short, level swing that extended through the zone. He exhibited good rhythm while consistently hitting line drives. In the field, Zitkus displayed an accurate arm while playing through the baseball. ............................................ Zitkus is 5-foot-7, 120-pound two-way player who showed well at the plate with his loose left-handed swing. Zitkus demonstrated an economical approach to the ball with his short stride and bat path, in combination with his sound lower half. Zitkus remains balanced throughout his swing and gets excellent extension after contact. On the mound, Zitkus throws from a high ¾ arm slot, using a loose back arm and hand acceleration. Zitkus displayed an easy, repeatable throwing motion. He had three pitches, a fastball (65-70 mph), a curveball (58-61 mph), and a changeup (58-62); all his pitches he threw for strikes.
