Offensively starts tall and slightly open. Good balance throughout his swing. Showcased above average bat speed consistently producing line drives. Swing plane is level.
6-15-2013 Welch looks great in uniform. Big strong physical left handed arm and right handed hitter. Welch shows a pump delivery with high hands. The arm shows quickness. Welch should develop to add more velocity.
At the plate Welch shows a good simple approach with a weight transfer load. Works with a a good swing plane.
