Fall Prospect Program 2013 - While the 6-foot-3, 230-pound right-hander’s velocity was down a tick from where it was in the summer, Fisher threw well throughout the program. He pounded the zone consistently with an 80-84 mph fastball and sharp curveball, and his splitter is a very effective pitch thrown with good arm action that displays late sinking action. At the Top Prospect Games in June, Fisher’s fastball topped at 86 mph.
6/12/13 - 6-foot-3, 225-pound prospect, uses long arm action, high ¾ arm slot, good rhythm in delivery, throws downhill, fastball shows good arm side run and velocity improved from previous event to 84-86 mph, good command of curveball that sat 71-73 mph with sharp 11/5 action, good feel for very good splitter that he uses as a changeup that sat 76-79 mph thrown with good arm action. Fisher pounds the zone with all 3 of his pitches.
2/18/13 - 6-foot-3, 230-pound prospect, shows soft hands, heavy feet, solid arm strength across the field at 82 mph, accurate arm. At the plate, uses a tall athletic stance with a short stride, smooth load, has a quick bat path and good lower half, gets extension through the ball with a stiff front side. Had an 87 mph exit tee velocity, with big frame and approach has power potential. On the mound, showed the ability to consistently throw strikes with all of his pitches. Uses long arm action, high ¾ arm slot, good rhythm in delivery, throws downhill, fastball shows good arm side run at 82-83 mph, good command of curveball that sat 69-70 mph with sharp/late 11/5 action, good feel for very good changeup thrown with good arm action at 75-76 mph with some fade.
